Frequently Asked Questions

  • Chicken Eggs, $5.00 per dozen / $3.00 per half-dozen.
  • Goose Eggs, $1 each, available seasonally (March-May).
  • Cash preferred. Apple Cash or Venmo is possible.
  • We may run specials occasionally if there are surplus eggs.

It’s easy. Here are the simple ways neighbors get eggs from us:

  • Check today’s availability at the top of the page
  • Text us to reserve (quickest + most popular).
  • Call or email if you prefer
  • Swing by and pick up at our home on Waters Road at a time that works for you
  • Cash preferred, but Apple Cash or Venmo are available

Why we do it this way

  • Availability changes day‑to‑day.
  • A quick message helps us make sure you get the freshest eggs and that we don’t overcommit.
  • When the weather warms up, we may investigate a self-service stand.

Can I return egg cartons?

  • Yes please! Clean, undamaged cartons are always appreciated and reused when possible.

Do you offer delivery?

  • Not at this time. All orders are pickup only.

Can I get a dozen of only one color?

  • We can’t guarantee specific colors, but we’re happy to include a mix or lean toward your preference when possible.

Do you sell fertilized eggs?

  • If the hens and rooster are active, some eggs may be fertilized.
  • They are perfectly safe to eat and no different in taste or texture.

Do you sell chicks or hatching eggs?

  • See above. Our eggs are most likely fertilized so could be hatched if you choose to try.
  • We do not sell chicks, but we have an incubator and are happy to consider if there is interest.

What are goose eggs like, are they edible?

  • They are 3-4 times larger than a large chicken egg.
  • They are excellent for baking or for pasta.
  • The shells are hard, white, and are great for decorating.

Our eggs are collected daily and packed in clean cartons and labelled with the packing date.

Eggs are unwashed, keeping the natural protective bloom intact, sealing the shell's pores, and helping to maintain freshness and quality.

Storage guidance:

  • Unwashed eggs will keep for about two weeks at room temperature on the counter
  • Refrigerated eggs will keep for up to three months
  • FDA recommends refrigeration.
  • For best quality, store them in the carton with the pointed end down.
